Follow these guidelines when creating and presenting your presentation.

- Use bullet lists NOT paragraphs. You should not read your slides to the audience. Your bullets should only be used to guide your presentation.
- Use only the minimum amount of words possible on your slides. The information in your bullets does not have to be complete sentences.
- Use no more than 6 bullets per slide.
- Use no more than 8 words per line.
- Use colors that are easy to see – dark words on light backgrounds/light words on dark backgrounds
- Use only good quality pictures

- Use your bullets as guides. You should not read the information to your audience.
- Avoid using filler words such as “um” and “er.”
- Practice before giving your presentation.
- Talk slowly and clearly.
